Situated in a haven of greenery, at the border of the Jura and the Bernese Jura, is the magnificent building of the Maison de la Tête de Moine. We are located opposite the Abbey in Bellelay, where our famous cheese was born more than 800 years ago.
It is within these walls steeped in history where our museum will guide you through the ages. By following our iPad-guided tour, you will discover a cheese which has preserved its original and unique character across the centuries.
